{"id":1681,"date":"2013-01-10T10:12:37","date_gmt":"2013-01-10T09:12:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.hapke.de\/?p=1681"},"modified":"2013-01-10T16:17:33","modified_gmt":"2013-01-10T15:17:33","slug":"new-roles-for-new-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.hapke.de\/information-literacy\/new-roles-for-new-times\/","title":{"rendered":"New roles for new times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Die amerikanische <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arl.org\">Association of Research Libraries (ARL)<\/a> hat im Dezember in der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arl.org\/rtl\/plan\/nrnt\/index.shtml\">Reihe &quot;New roles for new times&quot;<\/a> einen Report &quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arl.org\/bm~doc\/nrnt-grad-roles-20dec12.pdf\">Research Library Services for Graduate Students<\/a>&quot;, geschrieben von Lucinda Covert-Vail und Scott Collard, herausgebracht.<\/p>\n<p>Er fasst relativ knapp f&uuml;r mich nochmals die Herausforderungsbereiche moderner Bibliotheksentwicklung zusammen: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dienstleistungen zielgruppengerecht segmentieren,<\/li>\n<li>neue physische (und mentale \ud83d\ude0e &#8211; hier w&auml;re das neu gegr&uuml;ndete <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.tib-hannover.de\/tib\/2012\/12\/20\/forscherinnen-gemeinsam-neue-wege-im-web-eroeffnen-das-open-science-lab-der-tib-hannover\/\">Open Science Lab der TIB Hannover<\/a> ein Beispiel!) R&auml;ume schaffen bzw. f&uuml;r vorhandene R&auml;ume neue M&ouml;glichkeiten ausprobieren,<\/li>\n<li>neue Partnerschaften eingehen<br \/>\n(bzw. alte wiederaufleben lassen &#8211; meinem Empfinden nach fehlt es auf dem Universit&auml;tscampus oft an einer Koordination zu Themenbereichen, die diverse Dienstleistungsbereiche wie Bibliothek, Rechenzentrum, Studierenden-Service, Didaktisches Zentrum usw. betreffen) und<\/li>\n<li>Organisationsstrukturen (behutsam!) ver&auml;ndern bzw. anpassen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Besonders interessant finde ich hinsichtlich des ersten obigen Punktes die Orientierung von Services am akademischen Life-Cycle:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Reader and learner\u2014trying to become acquainted with a field and its literature<\/li>\n<li>Teacher or \u201cbecoming teacher\u201d\u2014learning to apply pedagogy to deliver course content<\/li>\n<li>Researcher\u2014collecting data in field sites or through available resources<\/li>\n<li>Analyzer and synthesizer\u2014processing and analyzing data collected<\/li>\n<li>Writer\u2014learning how to stay motivated, finding the space and mutual support from others<\/li>\n<li>Proto-author\u2014orienting towards publishing, copyright, and scholarly communications<\/li>\n<li>Archiver\u2014depositing data or final products into library (or other) repositories<\/li>\n<li>Job hunter\u2014taking the next academic or professional step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(S. 9-10)\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die amerikanische Association of Research Libraries (ARL) hat im Dezember in der Reihe &quot;New roles for new times&quot; einen Report &quot;Research Library Services for Graduate Students&quot;, geschrieben von Lucinda Covert-Vail und Scott Collard, herausgebracht.
