- Der sehr philosophische Aufsatz von Kimberly A. Jones mit dem Titel "Bringing Librarianship Back Home: Information Literacy as a Return to Method"<\/a> (Communications in Information Literacy, 2009, Vol 3, No 1) fragt nach dem Wesen von Information und sieht Informationskompetenz als "proactive response to the hardening of LIS" und hat folgendes Abstract:
\nInformation literacy (IL) has arisen as a response to the reification of information. As information has been commodified, it has lost its fluidity as a term and an idea. Librarianship, as a result, has lost its footing, its philosophy. IL seeks to restore method to librarianship and, as a result, return subjectivity to information.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n
- Vielversprechend auch der Titel "Information ethics as information ecology: Connecting Frankl\u2019s thought and fundamental informatics"<\/a> eines Aufsatzes von Tadashi Takenouchi (Ethics and Information Technology (2006) 8:187\u2013193). Die Einbindung von Informationskompetenz in Informationsethik und die ökologische Betrachtung von Informationssystemen haben für mich einigen Charme. Mal sehen, ob ich den Artikel verstehe?! \ud83d\ude0e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
BTW: Auf Luciano Floridi<\/a> habe ich in diesem Blog schon mal hingewiesen<\/a>. Nun habe ich mir sein neues Buch mit dem schönen Titel "Information"<\/a> gekauft, das in der, wie ich finde, fantastischen Reihe "A very short introduction" der Oxford University Press<\/a> erschienen ist.<\/p>\n
Ich bin ja immer noch sehr zwiegespalten, was die andererseits aber auch sehr interessanten Schriften von Floridi angeht. Er geht sehr stark von einem mathematisch-technischen Informationsbegriff aus und blendet zudem manche Diskussionen zur Philosophie der Information im Bibliotheks- und Informationswesen so gut wie aus. Ich finde, man kann den Informationsbegriff nicht vollständig diskutieren, ohne auch verwandte Begriffe wie Kommunikation, Wissen, Dokument usw. zu betrachten.<\/a> Dies passiert mir bei Floridi zu wenig.<\/p>\n
